- Lincoln Corsair: An Escape underneath, with far better sound insulation and seats. Priced used like neither.
- Range Rover Evoque: The cheap way into the badge, and it depreciates for a reason. Check every recall.
- Volvo XC40: Clever storage and excellent seats in a small footprint. The infotainment is slow.
- Audi Q3: Standard quattro and a proper interior. Small boot, and options were expensive new.
