The email function
Your car alerts, without the dealer spam
Every car site wants your email before it will tell you about a new listing, and once a dealer has it, the follow-ups outlast the car. So you get one throwaway address for all of them.
The problem it solves
Shopping seriously means saved searches on several sites: AutoTempest, Cars.com, AutoTrader, CarGurus, CarMax. Each one sends its own alerts. The same car shows up on three of them. And your real address ends up with every dealer who ever touched a lead.
How it works
- Pick the cars you want. Star them on their pages, or take the five-screen quiz and let the ranking suggest them.
- Sign in with your real email. No password: we send a link that works once.
- Get one throwaway address, something like
b7k2m9xq@jesustakethewheel.dev. - Save the searches we build for you. Each marketplace's search comes with your cars, budget and ZIP already filled in. You open it, save it under your own account there, and put the throwaway address in the alert-email field.
- Read one digest instead of nine emails. We read every alert that arrives, merge the same car across sites into one line, drop what does not match, and email you at most once a day, only when there is something new or a price has dropped.
What we do, and what we don't
- We never create marketplace accounts for you or automate anything on those sites. The saved searches are yours, in your name.
- Anything sent to your throwaway address that is not a marketplace alert is rejected.
- Your real address is used to send your digest and nothing else.
- Found your car? One link in any digest stops the emails. And if you don't visit for six months, we assume you found something, tell you, and delete your inbox and the listings we collected two weeks later.
